Reports To: Deputy Superintendent
Position Summary
The Instructional Coach provides direct, job-embedded support to teachers in Title I schools to improve instruction and student achievement. This position is 100% funded through Title I, Part A and is responsible for implementing evidence-based teaching practices, facilitating professional development, and supporting teachers in meeting the academic needs of students identified through Title I programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers to plan, model, and implement effective instructional strategies aligned with school and district goals.
- Analyze student performance data to identify instructional gaps and provide targeted support to address them.
- Provide ongoing coaching cycles, including observation, feedback, and follow-up support for teachers.
- Assist in the development and delivery of professional learning sessions for teachers and staff.
Support teachers in integrating research-based interventions and instructional materials purchased with Title I funds.
Collaborate with school leadership to ensure Title I instructional programs meet federal, state, and district requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of coaching activities, professional development, and student progress to support program evaluation and compliance.
- Support teachers in developing high quality lesson plans, assessments, and pacing guides.
- Foster a collaborative culture of continuous improvement among teachers and staff.
